Every time our company expands, we have to buy more Advantage Database Licenses.
I know just enough to be dangerous when it comes to databases. I know both ADS & MySQL are relational databases. I have a lot of experience w/ MySQL, but very little w/ ADS.
Our software uses ADS to store information and build accounts. Is it feasible to migrate to MySQL from ADS?
Is ADS better or worse than MySQL? I love MySQL because of it's ability to integrate with my web platforms, and would actually prefer to work with it if possible, but I don't want have to rewrite thousands of lines of code to do it.
So what's the general concensus? :)
