Multiple Distributors from a single Publisher

Hi all, I am setting up a 40 subscriber node transactional replication environment (pull), and was looking to have 2 or more distributors service one publisher, each having a group of subscribers, is there any benefit to this ?, as opposed to having one distributor service all subscribers, is it possible (distributor at instance level ?)

From what I've seen, I could not find anything that shows multiple distributors to one publisher.

Publisher and Distributor are on separate physical hosts.
