Conversion of Timstamp

Hi to all,
I am facing problem with timestamp.
I have a datatime value like '9/26/2012 5:56:53 AM' and my database field column is timestamp. I want to insert this value into Timstamp column in DB2.
When I insert value into DB2 column. It return me error "Invalud character found in character string argument of function 'Sysibm.int'".
I tried it with different timestamp format but value cannot insert.

Please help me
