Sybase DBO Alias

Hello Guys,

could someone please explain the alias dbo concept for me? Do I understand it correctly that logins which are aliased to the dbo account have full dbo access rights after they login? I tested it with the Sybase ASE 15.7 Developer Edition but I am not able to create users or databases for example with my alias.

Please help me out.
