Must Have Skills:
? Dbase: Oracle DBA (with SAN storage knowledge, snaps/clones, RMAN, ASM experience)
Customer is currently running their Oracle environment on NTAP (NFS) and will be migrating to VMAX/Cisco SAN (Block). The customer Oracle DBA team will be responsible for the migration methodology and execution.
Resident responsibilities include:
? Oracle DBA that understands SAN Storage (VMAX/VNX preferred), RMAN (provide recommendations), ASM (converting dbases to ASM), how to use clones/snaps in an Oracle database environment
? Great communication skills, team player and consultative to assist customer DBA team with best practices for this environment.
Added: We need a resource that can drive the technical conversations with teams and system owners.
As well as, architect the correct design for ASM, database + storage layouts, data migration processes and data backup for small, medium and large databases running across many versions of Oracle.
