DB2 9.7 SUSE Linux (Win client)
Hey guys,
I'm having a bit of difficulty understanding the way authentication works on Linux.
My goal is to set up a read only group on the Linux server then to add domain user IDs to this group WITHOUT creating local users on the linux box.
I've asked the Linux guys to change the order of authentication to NAM first then files but I always get an error when I try to connect from a client (DB visualizer):
Connection authorization failure occurred. Reason: User ID or Password invalid. ERRORCODE=-4214, SQLSTATE=28000
I can log directly into the box with this user using putty, so the password has not expired...
Any ideas? Is what I'm trying to do even possible?
