Hi,
We extract one of our db backups everyday for restoring In a different server. Today we are getting below error while extracting the backup.
Writing to file:
./PNPFP1DB.0.pnpfp1in.DBPART000.20160523033149.006
Error unexpected data seen at the end of the sequence, image maybe corrupt.

Initially I thought the backup was corrupted, but I get the same error while extracting older backups too (which were previously extracted successfully)
I am unable to find anything related to this online. not sure if its TSM issue or DB2 issue.

Anyone faced this before please help me!

PG_STANDBY restore issues

$

Hi everyone ,

I wonder if anyone can help me please.

I am Running Postgres 8.3 (old I know but management won't let us upgrade). I have a Warm Standby database on another host which is usually in a state of continuous recovery, using PG standby.
I have recently had to re-silver the standby and that's where the problems start.

I created the Standby from a Tarred Hot backup of the Primary and provided WAL logs until up-to-date, the trouble is that I am always getting issues with one of the logs producing an error such as -

2016-05-24 14:03:17 BST LOG: restored log file "000000030000013300000031" from archive
2016-05-24 14:03:17 BST LOG: unexpected pageaddr 133/1F000000 in log file 307, segment 49, offset 0
2016-05-24 14:03:17 BST LOG: redo done at 133/30311CD0
2016-05-24 14:03:17 BST LOG: restored log file "000000030000013300000030" from archive
2016-05-24 14:03:17 BST LOG: selected new timeline ID: 4
2016-05-24 14:03:17 BST LOG: archive recovery complete
2016-05-24 14:03:17 BST LOG: database system is ready

This then starts the Standby up normally. I don't want this though obviously, I want the Standby to be continuously recovering.

Has anybody come across this issue before, is there a workaround/fix, to do with WAL logging frequency/check-pointing ?

Thanks, Perry.

Hi All,

I recently updated to access 2016 but am still running Outlook 2007. When I click a command on my form that sends an automatic e-mail, I get the library not registered issue. I tried to look in the registry, however I'm not sure what I'm looking for. My assumption is that I'll have to upgrade to the new version of office to get this to all work in sync? Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Process using Primary Log File

Heys Guys

I'm new here and also don't have much experience working with DB2 and AIX.

My problem is the following (and might be quite simple to solve by one of you). I've several long threads running on my server and one of them is using my Active Log file since yesterday...my question is: I can identify which OS process is using the log file but what I want to know is which DB2 process is using it and not doing a (required) commit so it can advance....

I know that when my log is full I will be able to see which process was being executed but I don't want to wait until my log is full. Is there any DB2 command to see this? I've already listed the db2 apps that are executing and they're hundreds (end of the month jobs and stuff)....

I don't know if I was very clear but I hope you can help me

Thanks for your help
Regards

Slightly embarrasing question

Hi all

I have done this in the past but can't remember how, or locate my old DB.

Using Access 2003 I have a form (LastServiceBetweenDates) that accepts a StartDate, EndDate, State (list box) and Region (list box) The idea being that a report is generated and previewed showing results between the StartDate and EndDate when a command button is clicked to run the report.

I have the query (LastServiceBetweenDates) that works fine when run on its own.

The ServiceDate criteria looks like this;
Between [Forms]![LastServiceBetweenDates]![StartDate] And [Forms]![LastServiceBetweenDates]![EndtDate]

The Region criteria looks like this;
[Forms]![LastServiceBetweenDates]![Region]

and the State region looks like this;
[Forms]![LastServiceBetweenDates]![State]

I have the report (Last Service Between Dates) that works fine when run on its own.

When I run the form to produce the report the report generates but with no data. I've stared at this now for longer than should be necessary and can't see what I'm missing. Here is the code behind the form

Code:

Private Sub Preview_Click()
On Error GoTo Err_Preview_Click

    Dim stDocName As String
    Dim stLinkCriteria As String

    stDocName = "Last Service Between Dates"
    DoCmd.OpenReport stDocName, acPreview, stLinkCriteria

Exit_Preview_Click:
    Exit Sub

Err_Preview_Click:
    MsgBox Err.Description
    Resume Exit_Preview_Click

End Sub

The format for StartDate and EndDate are Shortdate.

Like I said, I'm embarrassed to ask for help but frankly it's driving me batty. :rolleyes:

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
